Registration

At least one author per submission is requested to register for the meeting.

EOSAM 2021 will be held onsite in Rome. However, if unable to travel, online option is available. Detailed Instructions for online presenters here.

Oral Presentations

Length for oral presentations

Presentation times are the same for onsite and online presentations (except for posters). The time slots within the schedule include time for questions.
Presenters need to make sure not to go over the scheduled presentation time, in order to be able to manage and keep the scheduled times for other speeches within the session. Pre-prepared videos need to stay within the time frame given to them, or will be cut at the end if too long. Only acceptable format for the presentation video is .mp4. Detailed Instructions for online presenters here.

 

Plenary presentations   35 min presentation + 10 min for questions (45 minutes including Q&A)
Special Invited presentations   35 min presentation + 10 min for questions (45 minutes including Q&A)
Invited presentations   25 min presentation + 5 min for questions (30 minutes including Q&A)
Contributed (Oral) Presentations   12 min presentation + 3 min for questions (15 minutes including Q&A)
     

Presentation format           

Please bring your presentation on a USB mass storage, and include all video files (if any). File formats: ppt or pptx. A Windows-based presentation computer will be provided. Preferred format for the presentation slides are 16/9, but 4/3 also works.


For Mac users 

To make sure your presentation is displayed correctly, please bring your presentation as pdf-file with fonts embedded. 

 
Technical equipment       

Technical equipment (presentation computer, video projector) will be available on-site. It is not possible to use your personal laptop! If you need sound for your presentation, be sure to let us know well in advance. 

 

 

Poster presentations
 

Length for poster presentations

Both poster sessions (two sessions) are 1 hour 15 minutes in length. 

Poster session times:

Wednesday, 15/Sept/2021, 13:45 - 15:00

Thursday, 16/Sept/2021, 13:45 - 15:00

Authors should check the schedule to see which session their poster is assigned to. 

 

ONSITE POSTERS
 
Please check from the schedule to which poster session your poster presentation is assigned.
Poster authors are requested to be present at their posters during the official poster session assigned to them. 

Any author presenting the poster on Wednesday, could put up the poster on Monday and collect it at the end of Wednesday. Any author who presents their poster on Thursday, may put it up Thursday morning, and leave the poster on the poster wall until end of the conference. This will enable attendees on all days to enjoy the posters. 

Print your poster in advance to the conference. Poster set-up and removal is in the responsibility of the authors. Any posters left on the poster boards at the end of Wednesday or end of Friday will be discarded. Poster numbers will be displayed on the poster boards to show authors where to place their poster.
 
Required poster size: The posters should have a size of DIN A0 (841 x 1189 mm) in a portrait format (no landscape format). Pins will be provided by the organiser.

 

ONLINE POSTERS

If you cannot present your poster onsite in Rome, we ask you to send us a pre-prepared video presentation of 5 minutes (.mp4 file) and a pdf-file of the poster. Detailed instructions HERE.

For online posters there will be no Q&A session so please include your contact details within the video presentation.

 

COVID policies

Make sure to come onsite feeling well. Precautions should be taken by each participant to enable a safe conference for all.
The conference organizers follow the policies by the authorities and the venue.

 

Information / Receipts / Confirmation of attendance

Attendees requiring a payment receipt or confirmation of attendance may obtain these documents onsite at the registration desk, or by email from the EOS office: [email protected].

After the conference, we offer you an opportunity to publish revised/extended version of your proceedings manuscript in the special issue on 
EOSAM 2021, published in the open acces Journal of the European Optical Society, JEOS:RP

In addition to the Proceedings, the authors have an excellent opportunity to reach an even wider audience through publishing extended versions in this Special Issue.
